The problem

Planning together is still unnecessarily complicated. Friends, classmates, colleagues, and partners often rely on scattered messaging apps, personal calendars, and task managers to coordinate activities and responsibilities. Most existing tools focus either on individual productivity or complex team collaboration, leaving a gap for two people who simply want to plan together. This fragmentation leads to missed plans, duplicated efforts, unclear responsibilities, and constant back-and-forth communication. Toochi addresses the need for a simple, shared planning experience built specifically for two people.

The solution

Toochi is a collaborative planning application designed for two people. It brings shared planning, task management, calendars, and activity suggestions into one connected space. Both users can create plans, share updates, suggest activities, and manage viewing or editing permissions. Unlike complex project management platforms, Toochi focuses on simplicity, accessibility, and everyday collaboration. Whether users are friends, classmates, coworkers, or partners, they can coordinate their activities without switching between multiple applications.

Who it's for

Toochi targets a global audience of people who regularly plan and coordinate activities with another person. Our users include friends, students, roommates, colleagues, and romantic partners who want a simple way to manage shared plans, tasks, and responsibilities. We focus on digitally active individuals seeking an easier alternative to switching between messaging, calendar, and productivity apps. Toochi is designed for anyone who wants to plan and collaborate more effectively with one other person.

Market

Toochi operates at the intersection of consumer productivity, shared calendars, and collaborative planning. Our potential market includes students, friends, roommates, coworkers, and couples who coordinate everyday activities. We plan to estimate our addressable market using the number of digitally active users in our target regions, the percentage who regularly plan with another person, and their willingness to pay for premium collaboration features. We are currently validating these assumptions with early users before finalizing our market size estimates.

Competition and edge

What people use today

Our competitors include Google Calendar, Todoist, Trello, Notion, and shared planning apps such as TimeTree. Users also rely on indirect alternatives like WhatsApp and Telegram to coordinate plans. While these tools offer calendars, task management, or communication, users often need to combine multiple services to manage shared activities, suggestions, and permissions. Toochi aims to provide a more focused and integrated experience for everyday collaboration between two people.

Why this team wins

Toochi is purpose-built for collaboration between exactly two people. Its main advantage is combining shared planning, task management, activity suggestions, and customizable viewing and editing permissions in a single, intuitive experience. Rather than adapting complex team productivity tools for personal use, Toochi is designed around how two individuals naturally coordinate their everyday lives. Our focus on simplicity, a dedicated two-person experience, and accessible design creates a clear product differentiation.

The team

Our team combines product design expertise with AI-assisted software development. Mohi Eliyasi, Co-Founder and Product & UI/UX Designer, has over four years of professional experience designing digital products and user-centered experiences. Amin Ameli, Co-Founder, has a background in Python and backend development. He has led Toochi's technical implementation, using AI-assisted development tools to build, integrate, and improve the backend and application infrastructure. Together, we have taken Toochi from an idea to a live, functional web application without a large team or external funding. Our complementary skills and AI-assisted workflow help us develop, test, and improve the product efficiently while keeping development costs low.

Hiring
Our first hiring priority is a Growth Marketing Specialist to build user acquisition strategies, test marketing channels, and improve retention. We also plan to work with content creators and social media specialists to increase awareness and reach our global audience. As Toochi grows, we aim to bring in a cross-platform mobile developer to expand our existing web application into dedicated Android and iOS apps. Initially, we will prioritize flexible, project-based collaborations to manage costs efficiently and scale the team based on validated user demand.

About the founder

Toochi was born from a simple question: Why is planning together still so complicated when almost everything else is connected? We noticed that two people, whether friends, classmates, colleagues, or romantic partners, often struggle to coordinate their schedules, share plans, and manage responsibilities in one place. So we created Toochi, a collaborative planning platform designed specifically for two people. Users can create and share plans, suggest activities to each other, manage tasks, and control viewing and editing permissions within a shared space. What started as an idea has become a real, functional product with its first active users. We're now improving Toochi based on real feedback and exploring its potential to make everyday collaboration simpler and more intuitive. Our vision is simple: Make planning together as easy as planning alone.
